Psalm 97C: Psalm 97
Throne, 11.10.11.6. [E flat]
| 1. |
1 Jehovah reigns; let all the earth be joyful.
And let the many islands all be glad.
2 Billowing clouds and darkness swirl around Him;
His throne is truth and right.
3 Before Him burns a fire, His foes consuming.
4 His lightnings lit the world; earth trembling saw.
5 Before the LORD the hills like wax have melted --
Great Lord of all the earth.
|
| 2. |
6 His righteousness the heavens are proclaiming;
His glory all the men of earth behold.
7 Let them be shamed who serve and boast of idols;
Let gods bow down to Him!
8 When Zion heard these things she was made merry;
Your judgments, LORD, make Judah's daughters glad.
9 For over earth You are the LORD, the Highest,
And far above all gods.
|
| 3. |
10 Let all of you that love the LORD hate evil.
He guards the lives of all His faithful ones.
And from the hand of men who would do evil
He surely rescues them.
11 For light is cast like seed upon the righteous,
And gladness for the firm and true in heart.
12 Loudly rejoice, you righteous, in Jehovah!
And thank His holy name!
