Psalm 40D: Psalm 40:11-17
Green Hill, C.M. [G]
| 9. | 11 O LORD, Thou wilt not now withhold Thy tenderness from me; Thy steadfast love and faithfulness Preserve me constantly. |
| 10. | 12 So many ills beset me round They countless seem to be; Iniquities have closed me in Until I cannot see; |
| 11. | They're more than hairs upon my head; My heart is failing me. 13 Be pleased, O LORD, to rescue me; Make haste; O LORD, help me! |
| 12. | 14 Let them be humbled and ashamed Who would my soul destroy; Turned back, dishonored let them be Who see my hurt with joy. |
| 13. | 15 Let them be overcome with shame; Let them frustrated be, Who in their scorn and malice say, "Aha! Aha!" to me. |
| 14. | 16 Let all those seeking Thee rejoice; Let them in Thee be glad; Those loving Thy salvation say, "The LORD be magnified!" |
| 15. | 17 Although I poor and needy am, The Lord takes thought of me. My Help and my Deliverer, My God, do not delay! |
